The Otters' extra long pontoons make them very stable in all kinds of water, from class III fast moving river waters to calm mountain lakes and ponds. Vulnerability to wind is extremely minimized on lakes, especially with the Water Otter model, since so much pontoon surface contacts the water. These craft are designed with safety first in mind. It is highly recommended that new river anglers seek proper instruction before attempting any river run with your River Otter.
